RESEARCH PORTFOLIO
Hi! I'm Anna :)
I love Ballet but I also want to change it.
Check out my research throughout this website to find out why...

About Me:
I take a multidisciplinary approach because I like every day to look different…

I am a teacher: I direct my own teacher training programme for entry-level dance teachers, and I have taught Ballet for institutions such as the Royal Ballet School, Bird College and Performers College.

I am a creative: My choreography has been seen all over the world, including creating original work for Bailar Al Sol in the US and enjoying choreographic residencies at Moulin Belle in France and Andanza in Puerto Rico. Last year I co-choreographed the critically acclaimed 'Black Beauty' for United We Dance International at Sadler's Wells.

I am an adjudicator: I adjudicate for the British and International Federation of Festivals and All England Dance.

I am a researcher: I am currently completing my first year at Rambert School studying for my MA in Dance Research.

I am an advocate: I’m on the Advisory Board for the TIRED Movement (Trying to Improve Racial Equality in Dance) and in my MA research I am focussing on gender inequities in Ballet leadership.

I am a thinker: As a neurodivergent person I often think about things a little bit differently, see solutions that sometimes others don’t and feel compelled to keep pushing for change. I love Ballet and I envisage a world where it can be just as excellent whilst also being inclusive, transparent and progressive.
